there are many reasons for fire and explosion accidents in welding, but the main ones are imperfect safety technical measures and safety management measures. In order to prevent fire caused by welding and cutting operations, the following safety measures should be taken:
first, strengthen the safety and fire prevention education and training of welders to improve their sense of safety and fire prevention awareness. Welding operation is one of the special types of work, which is prone to accidents and has great fire risk. Therefore, welders must be strictly required, and through regular safety training, they should master the necessary fire safety technical knowledge, understand the causes and preventive measures of explosion and fire during welding, and master the basic fire extinguishing methods. In addition, welders must pass the safety operation examination held by relevant departments before they can work with certificates. It is strictly forbidden for unlicensed personnel to carry out welding and cutting operations
II. Establish and improve the fire safety system related to welding and cutting operations, and implement the safety system. For example, establish the approval system of welding hot work. Welding equipment safety technology inspection and maintenance system, welding safety protection system, welding operation procedures, etc. Through the establishment of systems, leaders at all levels of the enterprise, functional departments and operators have rules to follow in their work and each has its own responsibilities

If welding hot work is necessary, safety protection measures shall be taken, and hot work can be carried out only after confirming that there is no explosion danger. Before the hot work, the gas in the workshop and warehouse shall be sampled and analyzed, the hot work plan shall be formulated (including the procedures of hot work, construction sketches, precautions, etc.), and the necessary consumables shall be prepared. The production enterprise shall pay special attention to the anti equipment, and shall notify the fire protection personnel for on-site monitoring. The hot work system shall be strictly implemented in fire hazardous places. Before hot work, a hot work permit must be obtained, approved by the person in charge of fire prevention of the unit, and strict safety measures shall be taken. The hot work permit shall indicate the hot work place, time, person who started the fire, on-site guardian, approver, fire prevention and extinguishing measures, etc

The place where welding and cutting operations are carried out shall be kept at a sufficient safe distance from inflammable and explosive workshops, warehouses, oil tanks, gas tanks, cargo stacks, etc., and shall be as far away as possible from the equipment, devices, containers and pipelines that are producing inflammable and explosive products. It is generally required that inflammables and combustibles, such as wood, paper, cotton and hemp grease, thermal insulation materials, chemical raw materials, etc., shall not be stacked within 10 meters around the welding and cutting points. When it cannot be removed under special circumstances, reliable safety measures should be taken to protect it, such as spraying water, covering wet gunny bags or asbestos cloth, so as to prevent electric welding sparks from splashing on inflammables and combustibles and causing fire. During high-altitude operation, the combustibles at the lower part of the operation point shall be thoroughly cleaned before hot work. After the completion of the operation, a special person should be arranged to carefully inspect the site of some profit-seeking small and medium-sized enterprises after entering the wood plastic industry to prevent them from leaving kindling. They can leave only after confirming that there is no fire risk
v. when repairing and repairing containers that contain gasoline, diesel, benzene and other flammable liquids and gases, strict replacement fire safety measures should be taken. The so-called replacement hot work refers to the strict replacement of inert medium before welding repair, so as to discharge the original combustibles in the container and form no explosive mixture, so as to ensure the safety of welding repair operation. Usually, steam washing is used, and then the combustible substances in the container are replaced and discharged by purging with replacement media. The commonly used replacement media include nitrogen, carbon dioxide, steam or water. Small containers (such as barrels) can be carefully cleaned with hot water (when cleaning, hard objects such as chains or stones can also be loaded and washed by rolling); It can also be steam washed for 10 ~ 20 minutes, and then placed in the open air for 24 hours. After checking that there is no combustible steam in the container, hot work welding can be carried out. Before welding repair of storage tanks with large volume, the steaming time shall be determined according to the size of the tank: for tanks with a volume of less than 1000 cubic meters, the steaming time shall be 15 hours; Steam washing with a volume of 1000 ~ 3000 cubic meters for 20 hours, with a volume of 3, new materials and new process processing and production technology of new special lighting equipment for scenery production, stage, film and television lighting related to culture and art, etc. with a volume of 000 ~ 5000 cubic meters, steam washing for 24 hours, and the steam washing time with a volume of more than 5000 cubic meters shall not be less than 48 hours. It is required that the steam pressure should not be less than two atmospheres. After steam washing, it should be cleaned and replaced, and gas phase inspection and analysis should be carried out. Welding and cutting can be carried out only when it is confirmed that there is no explosion risk. In short, any combustible container that has not been replaced or has been replaced but has not been analyzed and tested for gas composition as qualified shall not be repaired by hot work at will. If the analysis proves that it meets the requirements, but the welding repair operation is not carried out immediately for some reason, when the operation is to be carried out again after a period of time (a day or even a few days), the gas in the container shall be sampled and analyzed again, and the hot work can be carried out until it meets the safety requirements through the detection
VI. the installation and use of electrical welding equipment must comply with relevant regulations. The electric welding machine must have reliable grounding measures, the welding wire must always be well insulated, and the damaged welding wire must be replaced or repaired in time. A certain safe distance shall be kept between acetylene generator and welding and cutting operation site; The acetylene generator shall be equipped with explosion-proof film and water seal, and the water level in the water seal shall be kept normal to prevent flashback and explosion
